Homecoming for the Pacheco Panthers (0-6 overall, 0-3 WAC) brought the Johansen Vikings (4-2 overall, 3-0 WAC) to Veterans Stadium.
With only 27 players suited up, Head Coach Jeremy Siemiller knew it would be a tall task taking on one of the top teams in the league.
It wouldn’t take long for the Vikings to jump ahead of the Panthers, finding the end zone on a 13 yard touchdown pass in under two minutes of action. Another touchdown pass, from 19 yards, midway through the second quarter would push the lead to 14-0. A Viking field goal sent both teams to the locker rooms with the score 17-0.

Already short handed, Pacheco would be hit with a key injury in the third quarter when quarterback Raul Moreno was hit on a pass play. With Moreno out the Panthers turned to junior running back Joseph Valencia to finish the game under center.
A late Viking touchdown in the third quarter pushed the margin to 24-0. That would be the only scoring of the second half as the Panthers finish still in search of their first win of the 2025 season. In junior varsity action, Johansen dominated the game and won 43 to 0.
