“Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world,” 1 John 4:1.
“Many will follow their depraved conduct and will bring the way of truth to disrepute. In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping,” 2 Peter 2:2-3.
“Why do you boast of evil, you mighty hero? Why do you boast all day long, you who are a disgrace in the eyes of God?” Psalm 52:1.
“See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ,” Colossians 2:8.
“But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them — bringing swift destruction on themselves,” 2 Peter 2:1.
“And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them,” 1 John 4:16.
“But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander and filthy language from your lips,” Colossians 3:8.
“But to the wicked, God says: ‘What right do you have to recite my laws or take my covenant on your lips? You hate my instruction and cast my words behind you. When you see a thief, you join with him; you throw your lot with adulterers. You use your mouth for evil and harness your tongue to deceit,’” Psalm 50:16-19.
“You, however, must teach what is appropriate to sound doctrine. Teach the older men to be temperate, worthy of respect, self-controlled and sound in faith, in love and in endurance,” Titus 2:1-2.
“Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you,” Colossians 3:13.
“Seek good, not evil, that you may live. Then the Lord God Almighty will be with you, just as he says he is. Hate evil, love good; maintain justice in the courts. Perhaps the LORD God Almighty will have mercy on the remnant of Joseph,” Amos 5:14-15.
“May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all,” 2 Corinthians 13:14.
