Birdell Henry, known as “Mr. Henry” in his community, passed away on Aug. 20, 2025 at the age of 98.
Born in Screven GA on June 10, 1927 to Maggie Knight and John P. Henry. Mr. Henry was the 5th of 11 children, (his siblings Ralph, Robert, Archie, Ertell, Leah, Attomese, Myritce, John Jr., Sandra and Melvin) and the last to join his parents and siblings in heavenly rest with the LORD. Birdell Henry was a wise and remarkable man. As a proud Veteran, he honorably served the US Army . He opened his Auto Wrecker Company on the corner of Blossom Ave. where he resided and worked for the next 26+years. He formed many special relationships with his neighbors and customers, who became close friends and the community. Mr. Henry was known for his kindness, wisdom, sense of humor, giving to the community and a man with a heart. Mr. Henry leaves to cherish his precious memory a host of nieces and nephews and beloved friends. He will be truly missed! Memorial services for Mr. henry are Tuesday, September 16th, 2025, 11am at Jesus Name Temple, 8550 Christian Ave., Dos Palos, CA
