Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Leslie Jeanne Bennett (Pierini), went home to be with the Lord on June 14, 2025. She was born on October 8, 1950, in Dos Palos, California, to Gino James Pierini and Joanne Audrey Pierini (Cantrell).

A radiant light to all who had the privilege of knowing her, Leslie’s life was a beautiful testament to love, laughter, family, and steadfast faith. Her gentle spirit, warm heart, and unwavering devotion to those she loved left an indelible mark on everyone she met.

Her passing leaves an immeasurable void in our lives—one that is difficult to grasp and even harder to accept. But we ask that you remember Leslie not by how her life ended, but by how it was lived: joyfully, purposefully, and always grounded in faith.

Leslie was preceded in death by her beloved son, John Westbrook. She is survived by her children, Martrise Frederick, son-in-law Kenneth. Adam Atkins, daughter-in-law Deanna, Samantha Bennett-Gomes, son-in-law Michael, and daughter of the heart, Rachel Hudzietz. Along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and dear friends who will carry her memory forward.

After graduating from Dos Palos High School in 1968, Leslie did whatever she could to care for her family. She began her career as a waitress and, after graduating from Fresno College, went on to manage the dietary department at Los Banos Memorial Hospital for twenty years. In retirement, she dedicated her time to what mattered most—her family. Whether attending her grandchildren’s school events or going on family vacations, she was always joyfully in tow, truly living her best life.

Those who knew Leslie will remember her for her infectious laughter, kind smile, unwavering faith, and the deep love she had for her family. She had a rare gift for making others feel at ease, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed her path.

A Celebration of Life service to honor Leslie Jeanne Bennett will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Lion’s Club Building at Obanion Park, in Dos Palos, CA.

All who loved her are welcome to attend.
