On May 22 Creekside Junior High school held its spring sports awards ceremony in the Cougar gym.

Players in girls softball and boys baseball received their certificates of participation, and some of the outstanding players received individual awards.

From the varsity softball team, Evana Valdez was named the “Coaches Award” winner, while Cecilia Valentin received the “Outstanding Defensive Player Award.” Yashira Gomez was named the “Most Valuable Player” for this season.

For the JV softball program, Camilia Becerra was named the “Most Improved Player,” while Isabella Rivas took home the award for “Best Offensive Player” and Audrey Lugo garnered the “Coaches Award.”

For the Cougar J. baseball team, Matthew Gomes was named “Most Improved Player,” while the “Coaches Award” went to Elison Foster, and Michael Fernandez took home the award as the “Best Offensive Player”.

And finally for the Cougar varsity baseball team, the “Coaches Award” was won by Grayson Houtekamer, while Jacob Nunes was named “Most Valuable Pitcher” and “MVP” honors went to Andrew Lopez.

The varsity also had three players named to the All-Star team for the 2025 season, with Adrian DeLaCruz, Giovanni Oates and Andrew Lopez all selected from Creekside.
