The Los Banos Tiger varsity baseball squad (4-2, CCC) defeated the Atwater Falcons in two of the three games last week, winning on Monday behind the complete game pitching performance by Owen Baffunno (W, 7 IP, 7 H, 2ER, 3 BB, 4 K’s) and two RBI’s each from Julian Casares, Eric Moncada and Kolton Kocher to claim a 6-4 victory.
Atwater stormed back on Wednesday with a 15-hit attack and used eight hit batsmen to rout the Tigers by the score of 20-3 and even the series at a game apiece.
Then on Friday, the Tigers won the rubber game of the three-game set, winning 5-3 on Friday in Atwater.
Casares, Kocher, Rayner McMurry, Josh Gargano and Gaiven Blackwood-Estrada led the Tiger offense to the victory.
