Benton Franklin Hoover, a longtime resident of Dos Palos passed away in Los Banos, CA on March 13, 2025, at the age of 86. Benton was born April 26, 1938 to Robert and Carmen (Robinson) Hoover in Los Banos, California. He worked as a manager for Nylandar and Sorenson for more than 40 years. Benton met the love of his life Judy and married her on November 5, 1961 in Dos Palos. He was a member of El Nido Missionary Baptist Church in El Nido, California for 51 years. He loved rifle and bow hunting. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert Hoover and Carmen Stout and brother Richard Hoover. Benton is survived by his lovely wife Judy Hoover, children: Chris (Shauna) Hoover, David (April) Hoover, and daughter Diane (Ernie) Martin, grandchildren: Stephanie (Brent) Lindsey, Albert (Brianna) Cantua, Jessica (David) Lopez, Erica (Kaden) Silveira, Jillian, Christian, Jaxon, Tyler, Taylor, Dakota, Mackenzie, Rowan, Gracie, Adrianna, Alana, Sonny and Dominic, one great grandson Luke, one sister Anne Stearns, one brother Scott Hoover and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends who love him. A visitation will be held on Monday, March 24, 2025 from 6-8pm at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel of Dos Palos, California. Burial will be on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 10 am at the Dos Palos Cemetery District followed by a Memorial Service at 12 pm at El Nido Missionary Baptist Church in El Nido, California.
