If you are not already attending one of the many great churches in our city of Los Banos, we invite you to attend Calvary, 302 West K St. We meet on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. for Sunday School followed by Worship at 10:30 a.m.
Coming up on June 18 is a churchwide Fun Day. Our Minister of Fellowship says this should be a day of great fun and family outdoor activity. We know it’s probably going to be hot, so we’ll probably squirt people with water now and then.
We look forward to honoring our dads on Father’s Day, June 19.
On June 25, we have a day set aside to mentor some of our younger Calvary folks in the fine art of church maintenance. It is not as bad as it sounds! We usually have a lot of fun just being together doing our Lord’s work.
Our Association is sponsoring a children’s camp starting June 29. For more information about that, visit their site online at cvbaptists.org.
Beginning in June of last year, Calvary embarked on a three-year course to survey our Bible from the Old to the New Testament. From preschoolers to youth and adults, we’ve been meeting on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. for this special church-wide study.
We also have a women’s study that meets on Tuesdays, an adult study on Wednesdays at 6 p.m. and a men’s study on Thursdays at 7 p.m. Pastor Ogan has also recently begun a series of sermons from the Old Testament book of Daniel. Although we’re not covering every single verse, we are trying to get a strong feel for what God would have us understand about this inspired portion of His Bible.
