The Los Banos Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) March in Los Banos will take place Jan. 20 at 10 a.m. beginning at Los Banos City Hall, 520 J St., in honor of Dr. King.

Mayor Michael Amabile, along with other city representatives, will deliver a presentation. After, attendees will gather for the march.

According to Pastor Stephen Hammond of Bethel Community Church, everyone will gather in front of city hall on J Street and march on the sidewalk toward Sixth Street and turning left.

After turning left on I Street, the march will end at Bethel Community Church, 415 I St., where a service honoring Dr. King’s memory will occur.

According to Hammond, Carolyn Parker, a member of Bethel Community Church, will serve as the keynote speaker.

The service will be approximately an hour to an hour and a half long. Hammond, the pastors of New Canaan Missionary Baptist Church, Rev. Keith Johnson, and the First Baptist Church, Rev. Michael Neverson, have organized this year’s march and service.
