If one hasn’t had their fill of Los Banos and Dos Palos mixing it up in sports the past few weeks, then the Tri County Youth Football League has something in store for you this Saturday.
But first, the Broncos Seniors had business to take care of with the Madera Ranchos, outlasting their visiting foes 28-19 on Saturday to carry a perfect 4-0 record into the upcoming tilt with the Tigers.
“We jumped on Madera Ranchos early with a 61-yard TD pass from Stratten Wooten to Elijah Ziepeta,” Dos Palos Seniors coach Anthony Goncalves said. “Ranchos scored to tie it up at 6-all, but we came right back, and Abraham Galindo ran the kickoff back 78 yards for a TD to go up 14-6.”
The Broncos got another TD from Wooten to Ziepeta to go up 22-6. Then Galindo, who won the Sportsmanship Award, broke off a 74-yarder to make it a 28-13 game.
Paxton Goodman was the Sportsmanship winner for the Dos Palos Mighty Mites.
The Broncos won 22-6 in Pee Wees but were edged 16-14 in Juniors.
Tigers fall to Line
County Line came to Los Banos and swept the Tigers 19-0 in Pee Wees, 24-6 in Juniors and 32-6 in Seniors.
Sportsmanship Award Winners for Los Banos were Mateo Rivas (Mighty Mites), Maverick Rasberry (Pee Wees), Asher Baughman (Juniors), and Manuel Castillo (Seniors).
Wildcats to host Atwater
This week, the Los Banos Wildcats will host Atwater on Saturday at Pacheco High’s Veterans Stadium.

Firebaugh had a Bye Week.
