Last week, the Los Banos Tigers boys baseball team (6–3 Central California Conference) defeated the Buhach Colony Thunder in two of three games.
On Monday, the Tigers defeated the Thunder by 5–4, behind the pitching of Owen Baffunno (4 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 8 K’s) and the offense of Eric Moncada (3 for 3, 1 R, 1 RBI), Joshua Gargano (1 for 2 H, 1 R, 1 RBI) and Kolton Kanemoto (RBI).
On Wednesday in Atwater, the Tigers routed the Thunder by 11–4. Jack Goodger pitched for Los Banos.

The game showcased offense from Julian Cazares and Gavin Blackwood-Estrada. Both recorded three hits, including a triple and a double, along with RBI hits from Colton Kocher and Moncada.
In the third and deciding game on Friday, the Tigers hosted the Thunder, and behind the pitching of sophomore Moises Perez (4 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 K), Los Banos rolled out to a 7–0 lead.
Blackwood-Estrada paced the Tigers offense with two hits and two RBIs, and Cazares added a homerun and an RBI as Los Banos opened a 7–0 advantage.
However, the Thunder roared back to score 15 runs in the sixth, seventh and eighth innings to keep the Tigers from completing a three-game sweep.
