Our beloved Alfred William Gamboni passed away peacefully on Father’s Day, June 18, 2023, at the age of 95 with family by his side. Alfred was born on February 26, 1928, to Joseph and Pierina Gamboni in King City, California. He moved to Dos Palos in 1937 where he and his brother Joe, along with their parents worked hard on the dairy/farm, building a legacy that he was proud of. In 1956 Alfred married Elsie and together they raised three children.
He was a proud veteran of the Armed forces having served in the Army during the Korean War and was involved in many local organizations. He was blessed to share life with his family and many friends.
Alfred is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Pierina Gamboni.
Alfred is survived by his wife Elsie, daughter Tina and husband Daniel Ram, Son John and wife Molly Gamboni and daughter Susan and Mark Spitzer. He is also survived by grandchildren Brooke (Tommy), Brandon (Christina), Jordan, Melissa (Andy), Mikaela (Hunter), Dominic and Giancarlo, as well as eight great-grandchildren: Harley, Madison, Nathanael, Blake, Jagger, Emma, Alexandra and Krue. He is also survived by his brother Joseph and wife Anita Gamboni.
Alfred will be remembered for his kind soul, infectious smile and his love of farming and his family.
Services for Alfred will be held Friday, June 30, 2023, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dos Palos; 10am Viewing, 10:30am Rosary, 11am Funeral Mass followed by graveside at the Dos Palos Cemetery. A celebration of his life at the Parish Hall in Dos Palos.
