The two local high school basketball teams, the Los Banos Tigers and the Pacheco Panthers, battled back and forth for four quarters of play Tuesday, Jan. 17, with the Lady Tigers coming away with a two-point victory, 43-41.
The Tigers used the outstanding play of America Ordunez (25 points, seven rebounds) and the strong support of Chantelle Augustine, Athalia Torres, and Camila Curutchague to secure the hard-fought win for Los Banos.
Shariyah Nanie led the Panthers with 12 points, followed by Diamond Tuitupou with 10. Ryan San Pedro with 7, and Abi Pikas added 6 points for Pacheco.
