It is said in sports you can’t play without your players.

Well the Pacheco Panther (4-3 overall, 3-1 WAC) football team knows that is true.  Pacheco traveled to Ceres High School (6-1 overall, 3-1 WAC) Fri., Oct. 7 to battle the Bulldogs with star running back and linebacker, Abel Bravo (1,171 yards rushing on the year) unable to play in the game.

Pacheco coach Jeremy Siemiller said, “Abel hurt his knee last week and he tried to play but he just couldn’t go.”

Ceres used 107 yards rushing and a touchdown by Tarrell Lee-Gill and a fierce defense to completely dominate the Panthers.

In the Junior Varsity game the Bulldogs defeated the young Panthers by a score of 28-8.
