In recognition of National Custodian Day Oct. 2, the Los Banos Junior High National Junior Honor Society students and advisor, Erica Franco, made personalized thank you posters and cards for all of their school’s custodians.,

The students did this as a token of  appreciation for keeping their school clean.  The posters were hung on building walls for each custodian’s assigned route.

Among the students who participated in this project were Taman Chouhan, Dafne Sanchez, Jeanette Ortiz, Faith Gonzalez, Giovanni Discua Jimenez, George Torres, Audrina Corchado and Uriel Gonzalez Hernan.

According to Los Banos Unified School District Superintendent Mark Marshall, National Custodian Day was set aside “to show appreciation to the men and women who keep our schools clean and running efficiently.

“These invaluable employees often operate behind the scenes and are often not recognized for the hard work they do each day keeping our schools well maintained. The Los Banos Unified School District values its custodians. When you see your custodians, please thank them for all that they do!”
