Library summer reading program starts June 4

Read beyond the Beaten Path, the summer reading program of the Merced County Library, is right around the corner, starting June 4 and extending to August 6.
Registration starts June 4 on the Merced County Library website. Go to “Beanstack Reading Challenge” under the virtual reading button on the home page.
Young readers throughout Merced County can earn a free book and chances for other prizes.


At the Los Banos branch, the program for the week of June 6 is
Wed., June 8: Sensory Playgroup 10:30-11:30 a.m. & Pop-Up Makerspace for Teens (13+up) 5-7 p.m.
Thurs., June 9: Tiny Tales & Craft 10:30am
Fri . June 10: Bilingual StoryTime & Crafts 10:30 a.m. & Wild Child Bubble Program 3:00 p.m.
Sat. June 11: Family StoryTime & Crafts 10:30 a.m.
The library hours at the Los Banos Branch of the Merced County Library (1312 S. 7th St.) are Tuesday and Thursday, 10-6; Wednesday, 10-8; Friday and Saturday, 10-5. Closed Sunday and Monday.
