Despite of the strides toward normalcy, we must continue to be vigilant as we move through the endemic COVID phase.

To build our capacity as it relates to surveillance testing, LBUSD is collaborating with Primary Health, a state funded testing program, to test students who are symptomatic or close contacts at their site campus.

The district will be using the Abbott-BinaxNOW rapid test. Results are typically available within one hour. We piloted this testing program on April 19th, 2022, at Pacheco High School, Los Banos High School, Los Banos Junior High School and Miano Elementary School.

Testing is free to all students at the piloting schools. Surveillance testing will continue to be offered at the district office.

Los Banos Junior High FFA installed in national FFA organization

Los Banos Unified School District

The Los Banos Junior High FFA Chapter was officially installed this spring into the FFA National Organization as a middle school chapter.

Advisor Adam Jacobo and a group of Los Banos Junior High FFA student officers and delegates, accompanied by school principal Deolinda Brasil, attended the FFA convention over spring break in Sacramento.

This this was the first FFA state convention experience for the school’s FFA.The students attended numerous workshops in which they learned about the high expectations set by the FFA organization at the state and national level, and the commitment and dedication required of all FFA chapter members.

Students and school staff also showcased their indoor and outdoor agriculture classroom and their outdoor ag complex this spring.
