Eight permits for fireworks sales in 2023 will be issued to eligible non-profit organizations that have been selected by lot.
Applications for those permits are available at Los Banos Fire Department, 333 7th St. now through the close of the working day on Sept. 30, at 5 p.m. The lottery drawing will take place on Oct. 3, at 1 p.m. at Los Banos Fire Station No. 1.
The City of Los Banos allows the sale of Safe & Sane Fireworks beginning on June 28, 2023 at noon through July 4, at 8 p.m.
Operating hours for sales booths are from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
